Heather Aycan - Painted Paddles
Brad Beers - Reclaimed window frames
Mark Berens - Landscape oil paintings
The surface quality of his landscapes is thick, creamy, and rich in the palette of nature’s liveliness. Berens is particularly noted for his ability to capture depth and light through textured dabs of a well-calculated colour palette. Upon viewing a Berens Oil, it is almost as if one could reach out and pick up one of his fallen leaves. Through closer inspection, the quality of the paint reveals itself in a somewhat abstract manner, creating a unique bilateral dynamic for viewing.
Tamara Blakelock - Custom Clocks

A. J. Gray - Oil paintings
- In 1979 I moved to Algonquin Park and lived there on a year round based until 1997. My studio there has no electricity, running water or road access.
Algonquin is now my summer home and I winter in Emsdale.
These landscape paintings are based on the responses that living in rural Canada invoke. The medium is oil on masonite and there is an ever changing set of subjects just outside the door.
Karen Gray - Pottery
Woody Green - Woodworking
My given name likely speaks to the early love my father had for woodworking. My own passion for wood grew slowly, starting with tapping maple trees for syrup, and progressing to logging and sawing boards for myself and other woodworkers. I became fascinated by the character that is unique in every board such as grain pattern, colour and even smell. Today I am still thrilled to pick up a piece of wood and to imagine the possibilities that lie within. Starting with a vision I know that patience and perseverance may eventually reveal something that is, not only useful, but also beautiful.

Kelly Keating - Porcupine Quill jewellery
Marlene Lees - Acrylic & oil Paintings
Marlene is an artist and musician as well as a life-long animal lover. Drawing filled the days of her childhood, with occasional art classes in college. In later years an interest in exploring color in oil and acrylic painting allowed her to present her viewpoint of nature and animals. Her style leans toward realism influenced by impressionism. She seeks to convey beauty in common, ordinary things, animals or places. While some painters may aspire to paint on larger canvases, Marlene favors the more intimate, ‘miniature’ size. Inspiration for her work comes from interesting shapes, patterns, or the rhythm of a line.

Robert Ritchie
Willow Ritchie - Willowfern - Natural, Recycled, Handmade
Karen Robinson - Pen and ink drawings
I love the simplicity and challenge of doing pen and ink drawings of the everyday such as woodpiles and pantries and scenes of water and forests. I also am very interested in drawings of heavy equipment such as rock trucks and excavators and hydro transformer stations. I like to do my drawings at the site. Over the course of the day, I am continually trying to figure out connections and overlaps. I do not do a preliminary sketch – I just dive right in, which explains the ‘wobbly’ character of my work.
In addition to doing pen and ink drawings, I am a psychotherapist treating children, youth, and families through art therapy in my private practice in Huntsville, Ontario. |
